Study · Origin Stories
Where the world begins
Every tradition in this corpus tells, somewhere, how the world began. This study isolates those passages: creation-narrative sections retrieved by embedding similarity and verified one by one, then compared as a genre of their own. Two questions. Which motifs recur, and where? And does the similarity between origin stories fall off with geographic and temporal distance the way ordinary cultural transmission would predict, or does it stay flat, which would point to deeper common inheritance or shared cognitive constraints?
